Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and actor from the city of Chicago. He is best known for his album “The Introduction” released in 2014, which contained songs such as “Keep It 100” and “My Life”. It is known that DDG started making videos in 2015 when he was an enrollee at Central Michigan University. He later dropped out, which is why the content on these pictures may be a little rough. I’m not sure what year you’re looking at right now.

Early Life

DDG was born on June 10th 1990 in the state of Illinois to parents Darryl Dwayne Granberry Sr. and Elizabeth Granberry. He was born at the University of Chicago hospital in Hyde Park, Chicago Illinois. His mother is an African American and his father is a Native American from the Cherokee tribe. DDG has one sister who goes by the name Keshia (Keshia Granberry).

DDG attended Hirsch Metropolitan High School while living in Chicago. He was in sports. He played basketball and football. He also ran track, which is where he started out his rap career.

Career

Drakeo began his rap career while in high school when he was 16 years old. This was due to a friend of his who gave him the nickname Drakeo, which is an abbreviation of the word “Drizzy”, which is a name that has been used to describe him ever since.

Drakeo’s first group was called “Team Hitz”, which consisted of four members: Drakeo, T-Wrecka, Spadez and Bigga Rankin. They had a couple songs on YouTube such as “I’m On It” and “The Life”. The group disbanded in 2009.

DDG has been influenced by artists such as Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Jeezy, Rick Ross and Young Jeezy.

DDG is currently signed to a record deal with an independent label called The Real Talk Ent., which is owned by him and his manager Tyree Johnson.

DDG’s first solo single was entitled “All I Know” which was released on December 31st 2011. His first mixtape entitled “Trillmatic” was released in March 2012 and his second mixtape “The Realest Out” was released in May 2012. His third mixtape “The Realest In Tha City” was released in August 2012 and fourth mixtape “The Realest In Tha Country” will be released in the summer of 2013.

DDG is currently working on his first album “The Realist Story” which will be released in the summer of 2013.

However, he got into some legal trouble back in 2013 due to an altercation at his recording studio which resulted in him getting arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The charges were eventually dropped but the damage had already been done as far as his YouTube channel was concerned. DDG was arrested on December 17, 2013 for aggravated assault and criminal damage to property. It all started when DDG got into an altercation with some guys at his recording studio. He claims that the guys were trying to steal from him but they say he called them over there to fight. The argument escalated and ended up with the police being called in.

 In the end, no one was hurt and no charges were filed but it looks like DDG’s career took a major hit as a result of this incident because shortly after he was arrested, YouTube deleted all of his videos from their site. They didn’t want to be associated with someone who had a criminal record so they took down all of his videos.
